Obituary of Thomas F. Donoghue
Thomas F. Donoghue, 58, of Whitman, Massachusetts, died on February 10, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, MA, due to illness.
Born on March 21, 1965 to Jeremiah Donoghue and Patricia (Walsh) Donoghue in Washington, D.C., Thomas was the oldest of nine siblings growing up in Ballston Lake, NY. He graduated from Saratoga Central Catholic High School in 1983 and SUNY Plattsburgh in 1987. Following graduation, he pursued career interests in the insurance field and held multiple customer service roles in Massachusetts and then New Hampshire.
He met his beloved wife, the late Michelle (Saul) Donoghue in New Hampshire before the couple relocated to Pennsylvania. He loved spending time with his daughter Jenifer, exploring Boston together, and watching and dancing along with the movie Grease. He was both an avid Boston sports fan and a devout Catholic and frequently combined the two passions when he felt an extra prayer or reciting the Rosary could help his team succeed. It was all about faith in positive outcomes.
He was predeceased by his wife, Michelle (Saul) Donoghue of Levittown, PA and his parents, Jeremiah Donoghue and Patricia (Walsh) Donoghue of Ballston Lake, NY.
He is survived by his daughter, Jenifer MacLean of Manchester, New Hampshire and siblings Michael (Ana) Donoghue of Orlando, FL; Bernadette (Kenneth) Legasse of Dade City, FL; Kevin Donoghue of Maplewood, NJ; Brian Donoghue of Abington, MA; Mark (Jennifer) Donoghue of Chatham, NJ; Sean (Candace) Donoghue of Framingham, MA; Timothy (Wendy) Donoghue of Matthews, NC; and Kelly (Brandon) Vedder of Middle Grove, NY. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
