Shirley M. Cummings, 85, of the Heritage House and former longtime resident of Clifton Park passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday Feb. 19, 2024.  She was born on August 26, 1938 in Albany, NY and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary MacDonald Wagoner.  She was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Albany and was the beloved wife of the late Joseph T. Cummings whom she married on June 21, 1958.  She was a Housewife and homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing and traveling.  Shirley had been a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park.

She is the devoted mother of Kathleen (Douglas) Kaufman of Germantown, MD, Ann M. (David) Chittenden of Clifton Park, NY and Mary Beth (Brian) Champagne of Ballston Lake, NY; sister of Patricia Hanley of Colonie; grandmother of Kirsten, Keith, Amber, Kyle, Courtney, Chloe, Matthew, Ashley, Michael and Andrew; also survived by 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be private on Friday from the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.  Interment will be in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
