Obituary of Lori A. (McManus) Tufts

Lori A. (McManus) Tufts, 65, of Lansingburgh, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at Samaritan Hospital in Troy on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

Born and educated in Troy, New York, Lori was the daughter of the late Wesley G. and Janet Higgins McManus, Sr. and was predeceased by two brothers; Wesley G. McManus, Jr. and Bruce McManus.

Lori was a dedicated employee for 30 years at Goodwill in Brunswick where she retired from.

Lori loved cooking, yard sales, haggling prices, drinks, camping, animals and St. Patrick’s Day.

Wife of Timothy M. “Tim” Tufts, devoted mother of Justin Tufts and Tomah (Fiancé Rory MacAllister) Tufts, loving sister of Patricia “Patty” McManus, the late Wesley G. McManus and the late Bruce McManus, also survived by her sister-inl-law Carol McManus and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for family and friends to gather, share stories and offer their support to the family at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 where at 1:00 p.m. a Funeral Service will be offered.

The family would like to offer their most sincere appreciation to Evergreen Commons Rehabilitation Center, Albany Medical Center and Samaritan Hospital for their wonderful care which they provided to Lori and her family.

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204, in memory of Lori A. (McManus) Tufts.
