William G. Wohlleber, 92, of Niskayuna, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at the Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. He was born in Albany, NY on Jan. 18, 1932 and was the son of the late Joseph and Hazel Gibson Wohlleber. William was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served honorably from 1951 – 1955. He was an avid golfer and New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed his family time and was known as “generous to all and beloved by all.” He was the beloved husband of the late Marian T. Tate, who died on Nov. 29, 2020. 

 

He is the devoted father of William Wohlleber, Richard (Lisa) Wohlleber, Edward (Meridith) Wohlleber, Joann (Jay) Pierce and Suann (Sean) Kipp; brother of the late Joseph, Robert, James and Jerry Wohlleber; also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12 p.m. in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.

 

Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Thursday, in the funeral home prior to the service.

 

Interment with full military honors will be in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville, NY at 1:30 pm.
