Obituary of Tina (Coro) Gomes
TINA (CORO) GOMES
In loving memory of our cherished sister, Tina (Coro) Gomes, who left us on August 31, 2024 after a beautifully lived life. Full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her.
Born on June 10, 1963, Tina had a deep connection to nature, in particular with dolphins, finding solace in their beauty and grace. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever bloom in our hearts like a garden in full bloom. Although Tina lived in Vermont, she never forgot the “love” our mom had instilled upon us and had brought her family up to love one another and never forget where they came from. Although she was “No Saint”, she will be remembered for her toughness and was nicknamed the “Queen of TOUGH LOVE.”
Tina was predeceased by George Coro (father) and Dorothy LaBounty (mother) and leaves behind several siblings: Diana (Rondeau) Blake; Patricia (Rondeau) Kelly; Sherry (Coro) Phillips; Geraldine (Coro) Hornick; Anthony LaBounty; Michelle (LaBounty) Charron and Linda (Coro) Sprague. She was also survived by her partner of 30 years, George Staples and several children: Jason Coro; Anthony Gomes; Tanya Gomes; George Staples III and Bobbijo Keefe, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
To commensurate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, a Memorial Service will be held in her honor at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 4th Avenue, Troy, NY 12182 on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering a truly remarkable woman.
