Obituary of Patricia A. Wojtaszek

Patricia A. “Pat” Darfler Wojtaszek, 78, of Brunswick, beloved wife of the late Stanley W. Wojtaszek, entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Earl J. and M. Rita Fletcher Darfler  and the stepdaughter of the late Robert F. Andrews. Patricia was a graduate of St. Augustine’s School and Catholic Central High School, both in Lansingburgh and the Austin Beauty School for Cosmetology.

Mrs. Wojtaszek had been employed for over 20 years at the Glamourette Beauty Salon and later was the proud owner and operator of the Lansingburgh Yarn Depot on Second Avenue for nearly 20 years.

Pat loved knitting, attending her children’s sporting events at Lansingburgh Little League and at CCHS where she would cheer them on and was a dedicated volunteer in the Concession Stand, had been a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh. Above everything else, she loved spending time her family, particularly her cherished grandchildren.

Beloved mother of Craig (Beverly) Wojtaszek, Keith Wojtaszek and Danielle Sager, cherished grandmother of Craig Joseph “CJ”, Alexandra Page, Anastazia Mae, and Julia Patricia Wojtaszek, Daniel Joshua Sager and the late Grace Ann Wojtaszek, loving sister to the late James E. (Kathleen  “Kathy”) Darfler, adored aunt of Caitlin Darfler, also survived by her faithful canine companions Nova and Knox.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 11^th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182.

Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Noon on Friday at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
