Obituary of Linda Casolo

On December 1st, Heaven received another angel Linda Ouida (Killian) Casolo, 74 of Troy NY.

She was the daughter of the late William and Phoebe (Jeavons) Killian.

Linda is survived by her Husband Carmen Casolo of 49 years. Daughter’s Susan (William) Naccarato of Claverack and Amy Casolo of Troy.

Also Survived by Grandchildren Matthew (Devin) Whalen, Lauren (Russell) Kisselburg, Sarah (Tyler), Robert, Nicholas Witzke. Joshua Detwiler.

Great Granddaughter Emma Eggleston

Brother’s Thomas William (Patricia) Killian, Raymond Killian, former sister in law Rosemarie Killian.

Also survived by Special Cousin Laurel Sheehy, special Nieces Jennifer Ellmer, Heather Keough and Diana O’Bannon. Several Nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews. Predeceased Nephew Will and Niece Patricia.

Owned and operated the Community Nursery School in Lansingburgh for 28 years. She received Lifetime PTA membership award. Member of the Cornerstone Community Church. Former member of the United Methodist Church of Lansingburgh. Active in Sunday School, Choir, UMW. Former Campfire and Girl Scout Leader for many years. She was an avid hockey fan of the Albany River Rats and Albany Devils. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, shopping, traveling, the Red Hats and the casinos.

A 1960 graduated of Lansingburgh High School. Received an Early Childhood degree from HVCC.

Calling hours Saturday, December 9th from 1 to 4 p.m. at Cornerstone Community Church, 570 Third Ave, Troy, NY 12182 with a Memorial Service following.

In lieu of flower’s, donations to the Cornerstone Community Church Memorial fund would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank the staff of Diamond Hill Nursing Home for the care she received.
