Obituary of Patricia A. Yachwak

Patricia A. "Pat" Yachwak, 74, of State Street in Troy, entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Born and raised in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Theresa Poe Yachwak and Peter Yachwak, who was killed in action during the World War II invasion in Normandy, France, where he rests in peace. She was a Class of 1960 graduate of the former Keveny Academy in Cohoes. Pat had been employed as a Secretary at MANPOWER in Troy and was the caregiver for over 30 years to her mother Theresa, who died on September 15, 2011. She loved to listen to talk radio and watch television. Sister of William P. York of Yonkers, NY, aunt of John, William and Peter York, great aunt of Peter York, Jr., sister-in-law of Joan York, also survived by her friends in the Troy and Cohoes communities. Funeral and burial at St. Agnes Cemetery in Cohoes will be private. There are no public calling hours.
