Obituary of Bipin Chaudhari

Bipin (Bipinchandra) Chaudhari, 83, of Clifton Park, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2019. He was predeceased by his wife Meenakshi Pandurang Schoni, whom he was married to for 36 years. Bipin a native of Maharashtra, India, received B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology from Bombay University and came to the U.S. in 1960 to attend the University of Iowa where he received a Masters and subsequently his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry.

He was employed as a research medicinal chemist at Kendall Company, Illinois until 1969 when he joined Imperial Chemistry Industries, Delaware, where he finished his career in 2001. He was a member of the American Chemical Society and was honored in the 16th edition of Who’s Who in the East. He had numerous publications and patents, one of which included Seroquel. In retirement he moved to Clifton Park in 2002 where he became an active member of the Shenendehowa Senior Center where he enjoyed bocci, pool and the company of many friends.

Bipin was the loving father of 2 daughters, Dr. Seema Chaudhari, MD, Valley Falls and Dr. Anita Chaudhari, Ph.D., Clifton Park. Also survived by son-in-law Dr. Kevin Albert, MD, and granddaughter Victoria Seema Albert.

Hindu funeral services were private and held under the direction of Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.
