Obituary of Sharon M. Gordon
Sharon M. Gordon, 65, of Pleasantdale, Town of Schaghticoke and formerly of Bradenton, FL, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, November 23, 2019.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary McGrath Demers, Sr. and was the beloved wife of the late William Edward Gordon. She was a graduate of Troy High School.
Sharon had been employed in the Cafeteria of the Watervliet Elementary School in Watervliet for 10 years before retiring. She had also provided loving care to many as a Home Health Aide for ten years.
Sharon loved watching Reality TV shows and could spend hours playing fetch in the yard with Tara and Dan’s dog, Darla. Everyone also knew that she loved the warm climate.
Beloved mother of William “Billy” Gordon, Jr. of Watervliet, Tara (Dan) Boisclair of Pleasantdale, Thomas (Joanna DeCarlo) Gordon of Watervliet and Jamie Gordon of Saratoga Springs, sister of David L. McGrath, Denise Zullo, Robert H. Demers, Jr., Joyce Supernaw and the late Edmond Romanski, Paul M. “Mike” Demers and James Romanski, cherished grandmother of Kerra, Tony, Mason, Paul, Joey, Bella, Brittany, Daniel, Lucas and the late Will, also survived by several nieces a nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182 and to her Celebration of Life Service which will begin with a prayer that afternoon in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Colonie.
Sharon’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Hudson Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Community Hospice.
