Obituary of Anna M. Spuck

Anna M. Spuck 85, passed away on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2019 after a very long illness. Anna was born in Troy and spent almost all of her life there. She moved to Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush in 2008. Anna was the wife of the late William H. Spuck who passed away on August 4, 1989. Anna was educated in Troy and graduated from Nursing School. She also, took courses at Siena College. She taught Religious Education at St. Paul's in Troy in the 60's and 70's and taught 3rd grade for 3 years at St. Paul's. She later worked as a Secretary in the Rectory there. After that, she worked at various secretary jobs and then returned to nursing. Her last position was working for Dr. Battu as an Office Nurse, before retiring. Prior to her illness, Anna loved cooking, baking, knitting, making quilts, board games, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Deb Plantier (Randy) and 4 grandchildren Brooke (Justin), Sean, Alex and Paige (Derek) also 2 great grandchildren Kyle and Kinsley. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, 565 Fourth Ave (Corner of 115th St. in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182 and then join us for her funeral service in the funeral home which will begin that morning at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are discouraged and it is asked that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104, in memory of Anna M. Spuck as well as in appreciation for the Shriners Hospitals assistance provided to Anna’s great granddaughter Kinsley.
