Charles G. Barron, 73, of Beech Tree Ct, Ballston Lake died from a rare form of stomach cancer on Tuesday Dec. 13, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 6, 1943 and was the son of the late Charles and Josephine True Barron. Mr. Barron was a graduate of Penn State University where he received his bachelor‘s degree and a graduate of SUNY Albany with his master’s in Education. He retired from the Shenendehowa Central School District where he had been a teacher for 38 years. He enjoyed traveling and helping friends and family with projects around their homes. He was the beloved husband of Sandi Wolfe Barron, who he married on June 21, 1968; devoted father of Mark G. Barron of Rocklin, CA and Stacy S. Butler of Ballston Spa; brother of Bob Gonzenbach of Cumming, GA, Kathy (Boyd) McLean of Clifton Park, Mary (Gerry) Lewis of Cumming, GA, Vicky (Rick) Wagoner of Blue Ridge, GA and Sue (Mike) Spinelli of Grafton, NY; also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children. Memorial services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Regional Food Bank, 965 Albany Shaker Rd. Latham, NY 12110 or to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave. Schenectady, NY 12302.
